Group or Guest Email
Account Request
A Group email account (ie. sac-psyclub@mail.accd.edu)
or Guest Email account (i.e. non-ACCD employee such as a consultant)
can be requested by an ACCD Employee.
However, the department head must first grant the requestor permission to request
this special email account.
Guest/Group email account requests will be created manually and will follow the
naming conventions listed below.
Individual Ids
PALS Userid/Email ID for
ACCD employees (with a record in the human resources system - HRS) is automatically generated based on the person’s name
as listed in the HRS database. The ID is composed of the first
character of the first name and up to the first 15 characters of the last name.
If this combination produces an id that has already been assigned to someone, a
1 to 5 digit sequence number is appended to the userid in order to make it unique.
Example: John Doe
jdoe17@mail.accd.edu
Group Ids
PALS Userid/Email ID for
a group are manually created. The userid will be composed of a 3 character code
representing the college or district the group belongs to, a dash ‘-‘,
and then a 1 to 15 character name representing the group or organization.
Codes are as follows:
SAC – San Antonio College
SPC – St. Philip’s College
PAC –
Palo Alto College
NVC –
Northwest
Vista
College
NLC –
Northeast Lakeview College
DST – ACCD
District Offices
Example:
